Dr. Mark Greene is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Counselling and Psychology at Hong Kong Shue Yan University where he teaches a range of subjects including the psychology of consciousness and psychopathology. Dr. Greene’s research interests include subjective wellbeing studies and the psychological symbolism of fairy tales and fables (cross-cultural) in literature and in the clinical environment as a therapeutic tool. One domain of academic interest includes cultural analysis adopting both archetypal and analytical (Jungian) psychological perspectives.

Dr. Greene has lectured on topics ranging from communication apprehension in university students to ecstatic worship in Brazil and the I Ching to Orphic religion. He has published numerous articles on psychology, mythology and film in the journals Chinese Cross Currents, Mythosphere and Psychological Perspectives and most recently in the Encyclopedia of Psychology and Religion (Springer, 2009). He is a member of the International Association of Jungian Studies (IAJS), the Hong Kong Analytical Society and is the OECD Project Coordinator and Senior Researcher at the Economic and Wellbeing Project at Hong Kong Shue Yan University.
