David L. Miller, who will present a talk entitled
Erotic Shadows: Love's Sweet and Bitter Traces
"The idea is double: both the shadows that come with love and the Eros that comes from experiences of shadow. The shadow traces that will be explored are the inevitable narcissisms of love, the necessity of power and powerlessness in love and the unavoidable "third" in intimate relationships between two persons."
