Some facts: my dissertation has been on-line and available for downloading in PDF format for five years (today is March 20, 2005). I have noticed that it has been downloaded from my site about forty (40) times per month (on average)!
Although I am honored by all this attention, I am a bit miffed that it has been of the mute kind. In other words, despite my invitation and request for comments, no one has emailed me before, during or after the download process.
